UWCA offers ample opportunities for career & professional
development.
PIVOT (Analyst Onboarding & Training)
PIVOT is UWCA’s quarter-long training program for new members. PIVOT mentees are matched up with an upperclassman mentor in groups, where they undergo 6 weeks of workshops, meetings, and assignments. Each week, PIVOT mentees learn and apply new skills such as using PowerPoint effectively or creating a comprehensive financial model. PIVOT culminates in a case competition where new members celebrate their new skills and all their hard work in front of the club and Foster faculty.
Client Engagements
Every quarter, UWCA hosts 2-3 client engagements. Working on a five-person team, members spend 10 weeks interfacing directly with a client to solve diverse problems. Engagements help our members get a taste of real-world consulting while gaining professional experiences that set them apart during recruiting season. We are proud to work with clients such as St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Costco, Alaska Airlines, and Expedia.
ACE (Casing & Recruiting)
ACE is a case preparation program in the spring for students interested in recruiting for consulting internships and full-time roles. Students will be paired up with an industry mentor who will help conduct mock interviews and give valuable feedback. Through workshops, guided practice with upperclassmen, and extensive case prep resources, students will be equipped with the skills to ace case interviews.
